As an aviation technical services company with a team of experienced professionals located in both Luton, UK and Vancouver, Canada, we specialise in providing a wide range of services to the aviation industry. This includes Continuing Airworthiness Management services (CAMO), Asset Management, Airworthiness systems support and additional services for Postholders, Airworthiness Review Certificate renewal and On-site maintenance check support.

To support the growing list of global opportunities TrustFlight is currently seeking a talented and motivated Business Development leader to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our business by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in business development within the aviation technical services sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the aviation industry, focusing on key target markets and industries relevant to our product lines.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities through proactive lead generation, networking, and market research.

  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify trends, market opportunities, and areas for product/service expansion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and tailored proposals for clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and strategic partners.

  • Present and demonstrate our products and services to clients, showcasing their value and benefits.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.

  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and customer needs to anticipate market shifts and adjust business strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing collateral, sales materials, and promotional campaigns to support business development efforts.

  • Track and report on sales activities, market trends, and competitor activities to management.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Technical background in aviation is preferred.

  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in business development, sales, or account management within the aviation industry or related technical services sector.

  • Strong understanding of aviation technical services and familiarity with the challenges and needs of the industry.

  • Practical experience with outsourced technical programs and services.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.

  • Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.

  • Ability to analyse market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop effective strategies to drive business growth.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating across different departments and levels of the organisation.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Pipedrive CRM software.

  • Willingness to travel as required to attend industry events, client meetings, and conferences.
