Job description

As the Security Vetting Administrator you will work with the HR Department, handling enquiries relating to contractor recruitment activities, ensuring compliance with employment and Aviation Security Legislation. The position carries significant responsibility that requires diligence and attention to detail and confidentiality to ensure that all work undertaken is professionally administered.  

Accountabilities 

 

Service Delivery – Administration 

  • Work against tight deadlines to process and complete the AvSec background checking process in accordance with the legislation including processing Criminal Record Checks (CRC) 

  • Organisation of training both online and in-house, including good housekeeping, ID and attendance checking 

  • Effective and accurate onboarding activity for associates, including reviewing applications to ensure the people requirements of the business are met and interviewing candidates 

  • Carry out right to work checks 

  • Issue of associate contracts and respond to contractual queries 

  • Ensure timely return of all recruitment packs, ensuring paperwork is completed and up to date 

  • Processing and submitting of Airport Pass Applications 

  • Liaising with the Covert Testing Team to manage associate numbers and gather feedback 

  • Review AvSec background checking templates to ensure the company remains up to date with CAA requirements 

  • Remain up to date with all changes associated with Aviation Security Legislation 

 Quality Assurance 

  • Ensure all documentation and process are followed in accordance with ISO 9001 and company processes 

Job requirements

Candidate Requirements Key Skills and Experience: 

Essential 

  • Previous experience in a similar type of role 

  • Ability to obtain a criminal record check 

  • Ability to obtain a counter terrorism check 

  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word; Excel; and Power Point 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Experience of confidentiality within the HR environment 

  • Exceptional attention to detail 

  • Professional and empathetic manner 

  • A methodical approach with an ability to work under pressure 

 Desirable 

  •  Aviation Security Legislation knowledge 

  • Well-developed organisational skills 

  • Highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to organise their own professional priorities, with the flexibility to adapt as required. 

  • A clear, calm, confident spoken and written communicator 

  • A desire to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
